Four other hair clients, over the age of 70, walked through the door bearing such gifts as blueberries and flowers for each other. While one woman got her hair done, the others swept the floor or folded towels. There was connection, a fearless commitment to their life long ritual of self-care and beautification and their beauty and wisdom filled the room.
